MONTEREY COUNTY FAIR CARNIVAL TO FEATURE TWO RIDES FROM MICHAEL JACKSON’S PRIVATE AMUSEMENT PARK, “NEVERLAND”

August, 2010, Monterey, CA –“The Fair is in the Air” is the special theme of the Monterey County Fair, September 1^st through September 6^th, 2010.  Fairgoers will go airborne with the safe and exciting carnival rides that Helm and Sons Amusements offers with their special stellar line-up of action-packed rides this year. 

Celebrate the life of talented performer Michael Jackson, the “King of Pop” with two special Carnival rides from his beloved fabled private amusement park, Neverland Ranch. The 2010 Monterey County Fair will be featuring two rides owned by Michael Jackson: The Wave Swinger and The Spider. The Wave Swinger is an amusement park ride that carries people in swings suspended from a rotating canopy, with an additional wave-like motion distinguishing it from other swing rides.  The Spider ride has a lot of spinning action and is themed around the black widow spider. It’s a beautifully lit ride that provides lots of thrills. This ride was at “Neverland” for many years and was one of the first rides Michael Jackson purchased.

There is fun for all ages in the Carnival, with a wide array of great rides including the 100’ feet tall Super Shot, Century Wheel, the largest wheel ever set up at the Fairgrounds!  Enjoy a whirl on the Lolli-Swing - every kid loves swings, and the Lolli-Swing is pretty to look at and fun to ride!  Don’t forget to purchase your pay one price/ride all day carnival wristbands in advance for only $18.00 until August 31^st.  Carnival tickets and wristbands can be purchased online at www.montereycountyfair.com or at your local Salinas or Sand City Costco.
