Monterey County Fair Announces LOVERBOY as 2008
Fair Entertainment
In 1980 Loverboy introduced themselves to the world with their self-titled debut album. They quickly became one of America's and MTV's most popular rock bands. From 1980 through 1987 Loverboy garnered four multi-Platinum albums and numerous international Gold albums. Their tours sold out arenas and stadiums nationwide. Their hit singles came one after another, and went on to become the anthems and party songs of an entire generation of rock concert going fans. Loverboy ‘s red leather pants, bandannas, and big rock sound defined the band’s trademark image and high-energy live show.

Monterey County Fair Announces STEVE
HOLLY as 2008 Fair Entertainment
The Monterey County Fair is excited to announce Steve Holy as Feature Fair Entertainment, part of the 2008 Fair Entertainment Lineup. Steve Holy is scheduled to perform at the 2008 Monterey County Fair on August 13, 2008 at 7:30 PM.
Steve Holy’s music is a blend of 50’s rock and roll, pop and traditional country, crafting a unique sound that has won fans across the nation. Refusing to be labeled musically and sticking to his country roots, Steve sites country greats Charlie Rich, Mickey Gilley and John Conlee as his influences, but is quick to add that Elvis, Sam Cooke and a variety of Doo-Wop bands play a major role in this vocal style and on-stage persona.

Monterey County Fair Kicks Off National Ag Week with “A
Celebration of Ag” Breakfast! Monday, March 19, 2007
National Ag Week is March 18-24, 2007 and the Monterey
County Fair will be kicking it off with “A Celebration of Ag” breakfast
on Monday, March 19th from 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. The Celebration
breakfast will take place in the Monterey Room located
at the Monterey County Fairgrounds, 2004 Fairground Road,
Monterey, CA 93940. This

Friends of the Monterey County Fair
To Host Annual Fundraiser
March 2008, Monterey, CA, The
Friends of the Monterey County Fair has scheduled their annual
fundraiser for Friday, March 14, 2008 to be held at the Monterey
County Fairgrounds. This popular event brings together companies
and individuals from both the Monterey Peninsula and the
Salinas Valley. The year’s event is entitled “ A
Night in Italy” featuring
a Bocce Tournament, Dessert Auction and Pasta Dinner served
