Entering the Monterey County Fair - Easy As Pie!
Monterey, CA – Ever been to the Monterey County Fair and wondered how you can win a blue ribbon for your homemade cake or pie? Now, it is ‘easy as pie’! Monterey County Fair Announces LOVERBOY as 2008 Fair Entertainment
In 1980 Loverboy introduced themselves to the world with their self-titled debut album. They quickly became one of America's and MTV's most popular rock bands. From 1980 through 1987 Loverboy garnered four multi-Platinum albums and numerous international Gold albums. Their tours sold out arenas and stadiums nationwide. Their hit singles came one after another, and went on to become the anthems and party songs of an entire generation of rock concert going fans. Monterey County Fair Announces STEVE HOLLY as 2008 Fair Entertainment
The Monterey County Fair is excited to announce Steve Holy as Feature Fair Entertainment, part of the 2008 Fair Entertainment Lineup. Steve Holy is scheduled to perform at the 2008 Monterey County Fair on August 13, 2008 at 7:30 PM.
Steve Holy’s music is a blend of 50’s rock and roll, pop and traditional country, crafting a unique sound that has won fans across the nation. Refusing to be labeled musically and sticking to his country roots, Steve sites country greats Charlie Rich, Mickey Gilley and John Conlee as his influences, but is quick to add that Elvis, Sam Cooke and a variety of Doo-Wop bands play a major role in this vocal style and on-stage persona. "Ride The Wave" theme chosen for the 2008 Monterey County Fair
Monterey, CA – March 12, 2008 - The Monterey County Fair has chosen “Ride the Wave” as the theme for the 2008 County Fair, to be held August 12. to August 17, 2008 at the Monterey County Fairgrounds.
The 2008 Fair is sure to be filled with good times as you “Ride the Wave” to the 72nd Monterey County Fair. Come celebrate Monterey County’s’ coastal wonders, abundant agriculture and family fun for everyone. The theme “represents the essence of the fair; a place where the community can come together to celebrate all that Monterey County has to offer, both on land and beloagriculture, food and wine.” said Kelly Baldwin, CEO of the Monterey County Fair.
