Wine Challenge  Entry Form

The Monterey County Fair is dedicated to showcasing all of Monterey County’s commodities including the growing viticulture and enology industry in our county.

We will be holding our annual Monterey County Fair Wine Challenge on Saturday, August 14, 2007 with a Wine Pairing Event held on Thursday, August 14, 2008 during the Monterey County Fair and would like to invite you to participate.

Each wine will be judged by a panel of judges at a private tasting. The top 15 wines selected will go on to our Wine Pairing which is open to the public. All wines will be showcased and on display throughout the duration of the fair in our Ag Building.

To participate please read the Rules and Regulations and send us your completed form with your entry fees. The deadline for entries is August 1, 2008.

Winners in each age group will receive a family fun pack: 2 adult tickets, 2 youth tickets and 36 ride coupons along with a complimentary parking pass! 10 runner up winners in EACH category will win 2 tickets to the fair!

1. Up to 6 years old
2. 7 - 9 years old
3. 10 - 12 years old

READING & RIDING -
Read books for Carnival Rides   Entry Form

The Monterey County Fair is offering a special reward to Monterey County kids who read extra books during the months of June and July. This is a great opportunity to get that required summer reading done and earn a reward at the same time!

GRAND PRIZE WINNERS
Every student that sends in a completed entry form with parent signature will receive a ribbon and two free carnival ride tickets to be used at the Monterey County Fair, August 12-17, 2008.

AGE CATEGORIES
1. 1st - 2nd grade: 3 books*
2. 3rd - 4th grade: 4 books
3. 5th - 6th grade: 5 books
* 1st - 2nd grade can read picture books. All other grades must read chapter books.

RULES
1. Fill out and return signed entry form to: Monterey County Fair, 2007 Fairground Road, Monterey, CA 93940.
2. Deadline for entries: Friday, August 1, 2008.
